SOCIAL AND POLITICAL THOUGHTThe titles in SABDA's Social and Political Thought section are wide-ranging, and cover almost all the central subject areas that fall under social and political philosophy, and political science. The common point of interest of all the titles in this section is the Aurobindonian contribution to the topics discussed.Some titles compare Sri Aurobindo with other leading political thinkers of his time; many dwell on his insight that the emerging order of humanity has to grow out of man's evolution out of a mental being into something beyond; some books focus on an investigation of the foundations of Sri Aurobindo's political thought in the spiritual literature of India; some draw attention to contemporary issues in the light of Sri Aurobindo—Hindu-Muslim unity in India and the future role of South Asia on the world scene, for example; and some books focus on the state of the world in an Aurobindonian light.
