This book contains facsimiles of 178 sayings chosen by the Mother and written in her hand. Some are her own words, others are taken from the writings of Sri Aurobindo, and the rest are from scriptures and sages of both the East and West. They were written down in a notebook during six months in 1934–35 in response to a request from a young disciple to have from her hand one sentence each day.
